Building a family takes a lot of work and planning, but you also want to relax and soak up all the sweet little moments with your new baby. Finding that balance between routine and order, rest and connection is my specialty. I consider it an honor to walk along side your new family during this major life transition, being there to reassure you every step of the way, guiding you with over 20 years personal experience in newborn, infant and postpartum caregiver wisdom. This journey was never meant to be a time of isolation. Let’s do it together.

I’ll bring a non-judgmental, calming presence into your home, seeking to know you and your family’s unique needs and preferences first and foremost. I never have an agenda for how you choose to feed, sleep, or practice any of the many different ways and methods of parenting. It is truly my joy to facilitate your discovery and identity as parents, a growing family, and members of the larger caregiving community.

Frequently Asked Questions

Meet Heather.

Growing up the oldest of a large family, I was an integral part of my own mother’s postpartum recovery from a young age. From preparing nourishing meals, to learning newborn soothing techniques, to understanding the intense emotional challenges of postpartum hormones, it all fascinated me. In my early twenties I was blessed to welcome four of my own children, through both home and hospital births, giving me a wealth of lived experience in various ways of birthing. Since moving to Chicago in 2019 I have now supported over fifty families in birth and postpartum. I have also worked extensively in hospitality, customer service, and administrative roles, giving me the unique ability to blend comforting caregiving work with the logistical and planning skills needed to best integrate a new baby into your life and home.
